Tell me 3 things you remember about kindergarten.

Kindergarten was 14 years ago and still to  this day there are things that I remember. My Kindergarten teacher' s name was Ms. Finger. Ms. Finger was probably the sweetest teacher I had and I sometimes see her in my home town,  but I doubt she remember me. I don't remember a lot from Kindergarten, but the are things that stick out to me. First, my teacher had a goody box like any teacher trying to get 15 five to six year olds to mind. Well in the goody box was a little car keychain that I loved. My brother was really big into cars when we were little so being a little sister I wanted cars too. Anyways, I ended up being good for a week and picking out the car. I had the car for a while until I lost it. That was avery sad day. I kind of wish I still had it because its a memory of when I was younger. The second thing I remember is nap time. I loved nap time. There was this kind in my class, named James, who would always sleep over nap time and Ms. Finger would always have to wake him up with this little bell thing. I thought it was funny that thus would happen until I did it and then I thought it was embarrassing. The last thing that I remember was getting this tooth container when you tooth fell out at school. I was always so jealous of the kids who got them  because none of my teeth fell out in Kindergarten and I wanted one. I think it's amazing how stupid the thing are that I remember from Kindergarten. I some times wish I could go back to when I was trying to be good to get the toy car or when I was jealous of my classmates because they got  a tooth container and I didn't. Life was so much easier them, but I honestly think that if i had the opportunity to go back and change my past I wouldn't because my past is what makes me who I am today.

Semester Ends

I love and hate the end of the semester. I love it because its the end of the semester and Christmas break. I am so ready to be done and not have to worry about homework and classes until next semester. I hate it because it makes me sad. I met some really great people this semester and while we know each other pretty well we are not exactly friends. I am afraid that I wont see them again and i want them in my life. That sounds really weird, but they are great people and its super hard to stay in touch with someone who you don't have anything in common anymore. I hope that our paths will cross again that way they are in my life. Have you ever met some one and thought, wow they are great people and I want to be friends with them? So the end of the semester basically is an ending to a chapter for me. Every semester is different ad there is always new people who come into you life, but sometimes I wish I could hold on to the past just a little bit longer because I know that once it ends, its over and never going to happen again.

Definition of Happines

Happiness is defined as a certain state of well-being or contentment. It can also be defined as good fortune.  I think happiness can be defined many ways depending on who the person is. One person’s happiness might not be another’s. Psychology shows that people need goals to fulfill in order to be able to access happiness. I actually fully believe this. I think it is important to have goals to achieve. Without goals, we will never be able to succeed and I think that success is important to humans or to me. I want to feel like I am progressing in life and making something of myself.
I find it interesting that around fifty percent of our happiness is determined by our genes. I find this hard to believe, but happiness is determined by how we think and our actions. Are cognitive thinking and our behaviors are coded within our genes so I think our happiness could be linked to our genes. Which kind of sucks for some people because they might not be able to experience happiness as much as someone else. The other ten percent is determined by circumstances and the last forty percent is our choices. A significant amount of our happiness is determined by our behaviors and our thoughts.
I find my happiness in success.  One of the definitions at the top says good fortune. When I hear the word fortune I automatically think of money. Some think money is the key to happiness or that money can buy happiness. I don’t think money can by happiness or make you happy by itself. Money can help obtain and keep happiness. I think it is incredible difficult to be happy without money. Without money, your life is very stressful and stress is not going to obtain happiness. My happiness is accomplishing my goals and staying connected to my family. I think to be able to fully grasp happiness you need people beside you. Humans are very social creatures and without sharing or connecting with someone we become sad/ depressed.
If I had to imagine my happiness, I would imagine a life filled with my family and a good career. I want to be able to share my happiness and give back to people who may not have found their happiness. It is important tome to help other find happiness. I want connections and to be able to leave my mark on the world.
In conclusion, I think happiness is contained through success and family. I think you have brief blips of happiness and you are not always going to be happy, but to be able to touch happiness you need to be doing something in your life that will bring you joy. As well as having people by your to share your happiness with.

Seat Belts

Growing up I didn’t wear seat belts. They were not something my parents enforced my siblings and I to wear. Do I think they are important and could save my life? Yes. I think seat belts are important and even though they are kind of a pain in the ass, it takes maybe three seconds to buckle it up. Along with seat belts saving your life, they also save you money if you are wearing it when you get pulled over. My question to you; is wearing a seat belt important enough to you?
Statistics show that when using a seat belt correctly, it reduces fatal injuries by forty-five percent and the rick of other injuries by fifty percent. Also seat belts in the back seat reduces injuries by seventy-three percent (Seat Belts Statistics, n.d.). Seeing these statistics might not mean much, but there are a lot of factors not considered. For instance, the vehicles involved in the accidents, passengers, location, and many more. Sometimes wearing a seat belt and not wearing a seat belt wont make a difference.  The statistics are only about half, but you have to consider other factors. In 2014, seat belts saved 12,802 (Seat Belts: Get the Facts, 2016). That is incredible!! Passing the law on wearing seat belts made a huge difference on the amount of people who wear them. It is easier just to wear a seat belt instead of getting a ticket or getting injured or even killed.
I think teens are more at a risk for not wearing their seat belts than adults. I think teens are influenced by peer pressure. Seat belts are a pain and not “cool” so they don’t wear them. Fifty-two percent of total motor deaths happen because of young adults who don’t wear their seat belts (Statistics, 2016). I think, for us, this is super important. I don’t wear my seat belt all the time, but I don’t want to die. My goal for myself is to wear my seat belt more often because I have other goals I want to accomplish in my life time. I don’t want my life to end because I was in too much of a hurry to put my seat belt on.
In conclusion, I encourage everyone to wear their seat belt. If not for yourself than for your family. It is so easy just to click it and be safe.

I just changed my major, but so far I really like it. I recently moved to Joplin and have a lot of free time. Honestly, I don't know what do do with myself. I love working and keeping myself busy so i am gong crazy because i have so much free time since I haven't started my job yet. If you have any good ideas about how to keep yourself busy, then please share, I need things to do! I live with my friend so far its good. I know people say not to move in with your friend because later you will hate each other, but i think we will do just fine. She has a dog named Mia. I can't tell if I hate her or not. She is kind of cute, but she also annoying.  I really like going to school. Missouri Southern is a great place to be at and I think that this is where I am supposed to be right now. I life goal is to be happy and successful. I honestly don't know what my future is going to hold, but I excited to see how it goes. So there it is! This is pretty much my life; work and school. I am hoping this is five hundred words, I couldn't find a word count. I surprisingly like writing about myself and I am excited to see what other people's blogs are.
